The purpose of this document is to detail the product life cycle management policies regarding all open line fabrics marketed under the name of GUILFORD OF MAINE.
Definition
Open Line - All styles and SKU's which are non proprietary and therefore, available to all customers.
Classifications & Conditions
Active Open Line - Code Green
Fabrics that appear on current Guilford of Maine swatchcards and are available for purchase/adoption in either full roles or cut lengths.
Running Open Line - Code Yellow
Fabrics that DO NOT appear on the current Guilford of Maine swatchcards but continue to be available at a more limited service level. No new adoptions will be solicited
Running Open Line - Code Red
Fabrics that do not appear on the current Guilford of Maine swatchcards and may be designated for obsolescence 1 year from the effective inactive date. Minimums, upcharges and extended leadtimes may apply.
Inactive Open Line - Code Black
Fabrics that have been inactive and have not appeared on Guilford of Maine swatchcards for at least 1 year.
Products in this category are no longer produced and, except for any residual stock, are not available beyond the effective obsolescence date.
